Rare Jump Blues Al "Fats" Thomas Baby Please No No/Dog Days Checker 759 78 rpm .
Very rare Early Checker and somewhat unique. Side one is Bluesy vocal with some vocal group backing while Side 2 is a boppish Jazz instrumental piece with electric violin.
Al Fats Thomas was a Rhythm & blues singer, who first recorded for the Lissen label in 1947, with sessions following for National in 1949 and for Checker in 1952. It is very difficult to find any information about him. This record has been reported on Popsike as selling for as high as $147.00.
Condition is Used. Record is in excellent condition - label is fantastic and shellac has very minor sleeve scuffing. There is one scratch on the A side run out that does not affect play.
