Description
This auction is for a used LP vinyl 12 inch record titled 'HURST take you to the '64 Grand Prix of the United States, recorded at Watkens Glen NY" on High Performance Recordings Inc of Willow Grove PA. The cover has a nice 'glossy' finish to it and is in VG+ condition; lower right and upper right corners have small 1" seam split at opening, but no other seam splits anywhere else; other two corners show some minor wear; there is no writing or stickers on this album cover; graphics are very nice with only minor wear from storage. The inside paper sleeve is also in VG+ condition with some storage folds and no seam splits at all; many very cool pictures. The vinly record itself has a number of moderate to heavy scuff marks on both sides; they don't look very nice but do not affect the record much except as noted as follows. When played in a quality turntable with a Shure V15 cartridge and a diamond needle with less than 25 hours play time on it and 3.5 grams weight; side one skips 8 times during band 4 that is the interview ithe Cameron Argestsinger, director of Gran Prix, and also has a number of 'pops' at numerous places on that side; still very listenable. Side 2 has no skips but like side one has a number of 'pops' due to the scuffs on the vinyl. Interviews are with the following: Phil Hill, Colin Chapman, Cameron Argtsinger, Tony Rudd, Jim Clark, Dan Gurney, John Surtees, and Innes Ireland.
