Description
An original copy of Bob Calvert's (Hawkwind's frontman) solo LP Captain Lockheed and the Starfighters from 1974. Released by United Artists (UAG 28507), I think this is a UK first pressing (matrix numbers A-1U and B-1U). It's a fantastic LP which was well-received and contains many tracks which later became Hawkwind concert fixtures (Right Stuff, Ejection etc).
It is in good condition - the vinyl appears clean and free of obvious visible marks etc. I can't tell you for sure if it has scratches or jumps (but I don't think it will) as I've never played it because it was such a precious part of my collection! (I got the CD for playing). The gatefold booklet sleeve with embossed planes etc has minor scuffing etc but is in good condition overall. This is also true of the picture inner sleeve which is lined inside with a plain inner. It has all been kept in the protective plastic sleeve that I bought it in and I'll throw this in at no extra charge! All-in-all a must-have for any serious Hawkwind collector! I'll miss having it in my collection but I no longer have the space for my old vinyl.
