Description
This is, without a doubt, one of my all-time favorite albums. It features Michael Rabin on violin and Leon Pommers on piano.
The vinyl is in VG+ condition. There are several light scratches and scuffs on both sides. There is occasional light background noise throughout the record. On the CHOPIN-WILHELMI: NOCTURNE OP.27 and the RAVEL: PIECE EN FORME DE HABANERA, the background noise can be mildly distracting, and if I graded those tracks seperately, I would only grade them VG. There is also some distracting background noise during the first 12 seconds of side two. The rest of the tracks all play VG+ or better. The cover is VG- . There is a three inch seam split at the top right, and all four corners are slightly bent upwards. The pictures I took make the cover look better than it actually is.
Even with all of the issues listed above, I have enjoyed listening to this record more than about 99.93% of my other records. Unfortunately, recent economic setbacks have prompted me to occasionally sell some of my better records.
If the bidding on this record exceeds $600.00, I will include a copy of the EMI re-issue of this record (as seen in the second picture). I only listened to the re-issue once. It doesn't have any flaws, but it isn't quite as vibrant or "alive" as the original. The two tracks listed above as having "mildly distracting background noise" sound better on the re-issue.
