ZORRO AND THE BLUE FOOTBALLS RARE SELF TITLED LP - WITH WINDY AUSTIN

Originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas, but later spending most of his time in Texas haunts, the late musician Windy Austin, known for the bands Rodeo, Zorro & The Blue Footballs and The Hot House Tomato Boys.  There are countless stories about Windy Austin, equal parts about his wild onstage antics and his pure heart.  Internet message boards have been filled with stories, too.  Over his musical career, spanning more than 45 years, Austin shared the stage with the likes of Robert Plant, Frank Zappa, Dave Matthews, Eric Clapton, and former president Bill Clinton, among many others.  Forever, the Footballs will be remembered for their hilarious, frenetic stage antics, and even all the background crap with which Zorro decorated the stage, with such all time favorites as the bumper sticker, “Honk if you ARE Jesus”.

"Windy was bigger than life- how could this be? I remember back when we played in Rodeo together (early 1970?s), if I wasn’t boogying up to Windy’s standards, he’d pinch me in the ass on stage. There was never a lack of excitement onstage with Windy- he commanded, he cavorted, he was the stage. He was our Mick Jagger and Keith Richards rolled up together- several papers worth. *CONDITION: VG++ -  BEAUTIFUL COPY.  VERY HARD TO FIND.  SOME ONLINE SELLERS OF THIS ALBUM HAVE ASKED AS MUCH AS $1,000 FOR THEIR COPY OF ZORRO. 

This copy has been hand-signed by 3 of the members of the band; Mike, Meyer, and I believe the other is Windy's because you can tell that it begins with a "W", but his autograph is hard to read.  According to the information on back cover, Windy appears to be the only member whose name starts with "W".
