Description
Ernie Fields, I'll Be Loving You, on Crash 1. Rare modern soul LP is about as private-press-looking as a record can be--the label has no graphics whatsoever and the back cover is completely blank. Front cover text includes the optimistic "Vol. 1" and "Hit Song Mama" (Mama is the title of one of the cuts--it was not a hit). In spite of the low-budget look, this is a full-production extravaganza, with a talented band, string section, and multiple background vocalists. The songs are very good, and Ernie is in good voice, too. Nice record, autographed on the front cover by Ernie from 1983. Legitimately rare in any condition, this one is in pristine M- shape.

MINT- Perfect or virtually perfect.
VG+ Light marks, full shine, great looking record
VG Still fairly shiny but clearly a used record, light scratches, will play well but with some surface noise
VG- Played or used more heavily, lots of scratches, more pronounced surface noise, but still plays through okay
