Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band LP The Beatles 1967 PMC 7027 Mono Side Two of the LP omits The Day in the Life Credit to the label a rare error that only occurs with the white patent applied for bags rather than the earlier psychedelic Fool designed ones. YEX 637-1 YEX 638-1 Matrix numbers Mothers are 3 above 7 MRR + 2 DRM Sides One and Two respectively Yellow and Black Labels Sold in the UK... The Gramophone Co UK Label Text What`s unusual also about the LP is its near mint from 1967 and even smells like new I can`t see any scratches on it even from sliding into the bag which leads me to believe its probably had up to 10 plays. You can see a very light spindle mark when turned to light so it has been on a turntable. Its been very well stored over the 50 odd years save for slight bend top left from being stored with other LP`s. The entire spine is perfect and of course it plays like new as it would in `67 There is no impression of Vinyl LP to sleeve I bought this Pepper LP error a couple of years back for my own collection thinking my LP to be clean but this one knocks spots off mine I`ve decided to keep the one I bought which is Ex+ because I would be frightened to play this one on which the playing surface is faultless. I`ve only had Beatles LP`s like this a couple of times where possibly the original owner didn`t think too much of it and it had few plays Most Beatles LP`s were played within an inch of their life both within the Sixties and after Strange that EMI Parlophone with their strict quality controls would slip up like this especially given the significance of the track which many thought the best on the Album !
