NORTHERN SOUL RARITY - AUGUST & DENEEN- ABC 45-11082

“We Go Together”/“Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”


Classic Northern Soul rarity by a husband and wife duo from the Boston, Massachusetts area. Ronnie August (Ronald Castriano) and Deneen Clark formed an R&B/soul group and signed to ABC Records in early 1968.

This disc was released in the spring of that year. The couple married that summer.


THIS COPY: is excellent and grades in Mint minus (M-) condition. The A side is perfect. The B side has one very light superficial sleeve mark (see photos) but still plays M- . There is a radio station filing sticker on the A label. There is also a MAY 1968 receipt date stamped on the label.


PROVENANCE: This copy was originally given to Boston area disc jockey and program director, Ken Rapoza, of WEEI and WRKO. Ken was killed in an accident in 1987. Since that time, the record has been in storage with another Massachusetts collector who recently passed away.
