Rare PSYCH/Rock LP which features amazing guitar, drums, and vocals! Hard-to-find final release from South Africa's quartet "The Flames" (headlined on this last LP as "The Flame").....with brothers Ricky Fataar (drums, percussion), Steve Fataar (guitar), Edries Fataar (bass) and Blondie Chaplin (lead guitar). Great psych-tinged, soul-infused rock and power-pop, sounding much like a harder-edged Beatles' Abbey Road. Simply an amazing and under appreciated record which is Beatle-esque...Badfinger-esque...and very rockin' from start to finish!!

Ricky Fataar went on to replace Denis Wilson on the Beach Boys' next 3 LPs, and he also recorded with The Rutles. Blondie Chaplin also played on the next few Beach Boys albums, and performed with The Band, The Byrds, The Rolling Stones and Blondie. The album was Produced by Beach Boy Carl Wilson and recorded in California in simulated "compatible quadraphonic" mix, giving the album an absolutely superb sound (highlighted by the great vocal harmonies of the 3 Fataar brothers & Chaplin). ORIGINAL Rare Recording, so bid accordingly.

Condition: Cover VG+ (has some wear and a punchhole, but both are often seen with this album) ,Vinyl VG++ (nice shine/gloss)
