Here I have for sale the original soundtrack to the film 'Flash Gordon' by Queen.

Vinyl – EX. Clean on visual inspection. No obvious marks. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is superb. Only played a few times since bought new many years ago.
Cover – EX. Colours are unfaded and no tears on sleeve. Bright and unfaded colours. Minimal corner/edge damage (mainly along bottom edge on reverse side) and the odd crease.
Picture sleeve – EX. Original. Minor corner/edge nicks and tiny indents; intact.

At least two different versions of the inner sleeve exist, apparently within same vinyl and outer sleeve pressing. This version is printed on heavy greyback card with die-cut centre hole on one side and rounded corners. Another version exists with the inner sleeve printed on lighter all white card with no die-cut centre hole.

Review:
While writing and recording The Game, Queen were asked by renowned movie director Dino DeLaurentis to provide the soundtrack for his upcoming sci-fi epic Flash Gordon.

The band accepted and promptly began working on both albums simultaneously.

Although at first many fans criticised Flash Gordon since it was issued as an official Queen release rather than a motion picture soundtrack, it has proven to be one of rock's better motion picture soundtracks over the years.

The majority of the music is instrumental, with dialogue from the movie in place of Freddie Mercury's singing (only two tracks contain lyrics), but the songwriting is still unmistakably Queen.

Highlights abound, such as "Football Fight," "Vultan's Theme (Attack of the Hawkmen)," "The Wedding March," and the heavy metal roar of "Battle Theme."

But it was the two more conventional songs that were the album's two best tracks -- the anthemic U.K.

Top Ten hit "Flash's Theme" and the woefully underrated rocker "The Hero." With Queen involved, Flash Gordon is certainly not your average, predictable soundtrack.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
