Description
I have a red vinyl copy with all 5 boys' signatures on the front. It says: "Greetings, Delta Rhythm Boys" and then they each signed their name [above and below] their little picture on the front cover.
"MONSTROUSLY RARE, UNDOCUMENTED GREEN JUBILEE LABEL WITH SILVER PRINT, AND WITHOUT “JAY-GEE RECORDING CORP.” AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LABEL!!!; WE STRONGLY SUSPECT THAT THE SECOND JUBILEE LABEL (1953-57) WAS MEANT TO BE GREEN, NOT BLUE, AND HERE’S THE PROOF: THIS UNKNOWN AND UNDOCUMENTED PRESSING OF THIS OTHERWISE EXTREMELY RARE AND COVETED ALBUM, CLEARLY EVIDENCES THAT THE RARE GREEN LABEL WAS A SHORT-LIVED TRANSITIONAL LABEL BETWEEN THE PINK AND THE BLUE LABELS; THIS DEFINITELY ISN’T A MISPRESSING!"
ORIGINAL, THICK CARDBOARD COVER (AMERICAN STYLE)
ORIGINAL LAMINATED COVER
ORIGINAL COVER WITHOUT “JAY-GEE RECORDING CORP AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BACK PANEL
The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic.
As far as I know, this album has NEVER been available on legitimate Compact Disc or in any other way, manner or format.
LONG PLAYING 33 1/3 RPM MICROGROOVE RECORDING
Condition of cover is good-it was taped with clear cellophane tape at some time.
The vinyl is in excellent condition with only some surface scratching and scuffs. The 2 little dark spots [on the left in the picture] look like they might be an imperfection made during the pressing, I dont know. There's been minimal play time as the center hole only has one or two 'bump' marks from the spindle.
