Description

Classic rockabilly 78 by Roy Orbison on SUN 242 : Ooby Dooby b/w Go! Go! Go! Labels have writing on one side. Thankfully, this record was stored in an album holder and never saw much play. Playing surface looks very nice with only a few light scratches here and there. Record play grades a nice VG+ overall (around E to E- in the 78 grading world). Definitely an above average copy you will be happy to own! Please see my other auctions.

GRADING SCALE:

NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.

VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.

VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.

VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.

VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.

G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.

Fair/Poor =  Cracked, severely warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
