Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Verve Clef Series original press deep groove MONO vinyl LP w/ Trumpet Logo MG V-8306 - released 1959
LP was sealed but opened by seller to access condition due to damaged spine. Vinyl is pristine and new as day pressed - beautiful sheen and gloss. One play test on NAD C555 turntable revealed excellent analogue sound. Cover, while intact, was as stated, sealed, so has virtually no shelf wear. However, there is 5 1/2" upper spine tear, 1" lower spine tear, 1 1/4" upper right seam split (see photos), and three small dents lower seam. Given lack of shelf wear this is still, overall, an attractive package for housing the immaculate LP.
