Description
I am listing for sale, a rare, autographed copy of 'The Savage Young Beatles' a 10" eight track vinyl record, released by Charly Records in July 1982.
In 1961, the Beatles were hired in Hamburg as the backing band to Tony Sheridan who was asked to make a record for Polydor. This resulted in the recording of eight songs, four of which are by the Beatles and the remainder by Tony Sheridan backed by the band.
The album cover has been hand signed by Tony Sheridan (backed by the Beatles on the record) and Pete Best (Beatles drummer at the time the album was recorded). Both signatures are clearly and boldly written in black ballpoint pen. The item was signed for me when both Tony and Pete were guest speakers at the 1989 Liverpool Beatles Convention. This album (without the signatures) can be currently found listed for sale on eBay for £35.00 which means both of these great, genuine signatures will only cost you another £15.00!!! This item comes complete with a letter of authenticity regarding both signatures.
This album is a great introduction to the early sound of the Beatles. The raw, yet clean sound of these songs is excellent. This album is a must for any true Beatles fan.
