Absolute beauty this and so rare.. I’ve read somewhere (Beatles collectors guide) that only 900 of these were pressed as the music credits for this special label was originally all ‘dick James music company’ however for a very short period of time ‘northern songs’ were given credit .. so this is one of those
Matrix
Side a - XEX 421-1N
Side b - XEX 422-1N
Mother and stampers
Side a - mother 1 stamper T (9th stamper)
Side b - mother 1 stamper H (7th stamper)
So both really early versions of this copy
Sleeve - has definitely seen better days please see pictures - damage all round it and splits and tears - the spine is holding its own though although still rough
Vinyl - has a ripples effect over one side (around a 3rd of the record) which causes the stylus to noticeably move up and down when playing over it.. probably the first 3 songs each side
Side a - plays really nice with nice audio - it has 5 skips (3 within ask my why) but the rest plays really nice with a bit of surface noise during intros - it has a few noticeable marks
Side b - plays through with no skips - it has more noticeable marks which can be felt with your finger tips - this has noticeable surface noise generally in the intros and fade but did notice it going into love me do - may be a couple more patches but doesn’t over power the tunes on the whole
