Description
This auction is for the rare The Beatles The White Album first pressing stereo vinyl record. Both records are in near mint condition. I don't see blemishes such as scratches or lines on the records but please use the scans to grade in your own opinion and feel free to ask all questions. The records look to be rarely played which shows how well they were handled and played to preserve the condition. See below for details:
-Serial number on cover: A2097266
-The Beatles is raised on cover
- Stereo stamped on back cover
- Contains 1 error on label. Rocky Racoon is listed instead of Rocky Raccoon on side 2.
- Has "Mtd by Capitol " in white print at the bottom rim of sides 2 and 4. This signifies 1st pressing.
- Run out grooves/ serial numbers Side A- SWBO-1-101-J46 Side B- SWBO-2-101-J45 #4 (#4 is written in smaller, slightly raised letters) Side C- SWBO-3-101-J47"#2 ("#2 or 11#2 is written in smaller, slightly raised letters) Side D- SWBO-4-101-J44
- Side open gatefold, White sleeves
- Pressed at Scranton, PA Capitol record plant. The "I am" in the triangle is near the run out groove on all sides.
- NO poster but prints are included.
This record was lovingly cared for by a fan. The records look to have no visible blemishes but grade in your own opinion according to the scans.
The sleeve shows wear since most people probably didn't protect the sleeve at that point. The sleeve on the cover at the top has cracked/broken at the top and cracked/broken approximately an inch at the bottom. Since this is a side loaded gatefold, this occurred through natural use by removing the record over time.
