Description
Hello again friends, Psych & Stuff is back from the holiday break. Bringing you more Holy Grail Psych and hard rock LP. Most are EX-NM condition and some still in shrink. I have some very rare pieces this time for your perusal. My hope is to bring you some very difficult pieces to find while giving you the best in customer satisfaction. There will be about a dozen or so LPs listed this week so please check back for a couple of days until they are all listed.
My grading is listed as LP/Cover.
The Other Half, starting as a Grage band with the single Mr. Pharmasist from the Nuggets compilation soon moved to a much heavier Psych sound and actually had quite a bit of English Psych influences, mainly the Yarbirds and the Stones. Here's what Wiki has to say. This is a wonderful rare psych LP.
The Other Half formed in Los Angeles Southern California, but later moved to San Francisco.[1] They played several shows at Chet Helms Family Dog shows at the Avalon Ballroom.[2] Their music was strongly influenced by Yardbirds and Rolling Stones. Guitarist Randy Holden had been offered the chance to replace Jeff Beck in the Yardbirds before joining The Other Half.[3] The Other Half were at their peak when the music scene was at its height in San Francisco and the Flower Power movement in full swing in Haight Ashbury. Their style changed from an earlier vocal based garage band, to the loudest big stage band sound of the time, taken in that direction by former Sons of Adam guitarist Randy Holden. Their sound has been compared to The Yardbirds, and contained elements of blues, hard rock, and Eastern melodic influences
LP - The LP plays with no noise of any kind. After carefully looking at the LP under bright light I can not see any marks at all. The LP looks and sounds brand new.
Cover - The cover is as clean as it can be with just the most minor amount of wear.
Label - Is as clean as the rest of the LP but there are one or two very light spindle marks.
Please ask any questions and check my seller feedback. Prices are derived from past sales on Ebay, via Ebay, Popsike and Collector frenzy. I also wanted to mention that my VG+ ratings are still nice playable LPs. There may be a few ticks or static between songs but still a very nice listen. The cover may also show a bit more wear or have a small seam opening, but still looks nice and clean. Since record grading is so subjectible to the sellers opinion, I wanted to give you my VG+ grading and what goes into calling it VG+. Thank you.
My grading system is M(only used on sealed LPs), NM, EX, VG+, VG, VG- and Good. LPs rated good will only be sold if they are very rare. I have been collecting and grading LPs for nearly 5 decades. I was a seller of guitars for many years on Ebay and now decided to put some of my LP collection up for sale. I have many Psych, Hard Rock, Blues, Jazz, Prog and more from the 1960s and 1970s. Many are still sealed. I will offer auction style and Buy It Now listings.
Shipping - I will ship media mail to anywhere in the US for $5.00 I will also offer Priority shipping for $12.00. I ship in LP mailers with the LPs outside of the sleeve to avoid seam splits. Sealed LPs will not be opened. I will also ship to Europe and Japan via USPS international First Class mail for $25 for the first LP. I will combine shipping. I will ship within 3 business days of receiving cleared payment.
Payment - I accept Paypal payments only and items must be paid within 3 days of listing's close. Please pay on time.
Thank you all and come back often. Please ask any questions you may have and check that feedback.
