Description

Extremely rare 1985 BBC documentary produced by Stuart Grundy for the BBC called "Hitsville USA" - a celebration of 25 years of Motown records and its history over 11 hours. Introduced by Richard Skinner and including loads of music and interviews from all key Motown artists and producers (many who are sadly no longer with us). This is the version produced for radio station syndication across UK and US and pressed on 12 double sided vinyl albums (transcription discs) by London Wavelength. Includes all the programming notes for all 12 records and original box. Notes and discs are all EX. Box is damaged with a number of areas where the edges are torn or split (was very flimsy) so only good/fair. Impossible to find another and real gem for the Motown collector as this is the history of the company told by those who were there in their own words! Cheap start price as this only equates to £1 per disc! Postage is a bit higher than usual due to weight of all those pieces of vinyl.
