Description
Very rare original 1970 1st pressing of the eponymous first album “Black Sabbath”.
Widely considered to be the first ever Heavy Metal album.
i have listened carefully through the LP twice, and it sounds excellent, both clear and loud.
This is a genuine 1st UK pressing. The label has the “Philips” text below the Vertigo text on side 2. The sleeve has the capital lettering plus the “OSSIE” mid-spelling inside the gatefold.
Matrix’s 1Y/2Y
The vinyl has quite a few light scuffs, with a more noticeable mark across side 1. I have played this through and it plays easily an EXCELLENT to Excellent plus, with very very little deterioration to the sound, some very light crackling on the quieter parts between tracks, but genuinely barely noticeable. There are no pops, clicks or jumps.
The labels are clean and free from writing.
The gatefold sleeve has very minor storage wear along the edges. The sleeve is also free from writing.
Included is the original vertigo swirl inner bag.
This is an excellent opportunity to bag yourself both a rare great playing copy of this classic Sabbath LP
This will be very carefully packaged before shipping in a strong cardboard mailer, with the record out of the sleeve to avoid splitting/rubbing.
