Description
Up for sale is a highly collectible and rare 10-inch Aluminum Transcription Disc. Unlike standard commercial vinyl or shellac records, transcription discs like this were used exclusively by radio stations and recording studios in the 1930s to 1950s to cut immediate, one-off recordings of live broadcasts, speeches, or sports events. This piece is a genuine slice of American broadcasting history.
The disc comes with two original handwritten index notes indicating the unique historical audio captured on each side:
Side A: “Topic A: Communism is Evil” – A fascinating historical artifact from the Cold War / McCarthyism era. Likely features a political speech, lecture, or propaganda radio commentary of the time.
Side B: “College Football Conference All-Stars” – A vintage sports broadcast, report, or interview segment dedicated to university football stars of the era.
