Description

              Prince Valiant and the Outlaws-2 LP (12") Record Set Y-611 (Youth Series)

This RCA Victor recording says "Copyright 1947, King Features Syndicate, Inc."

"Prince Valiant and the Outlaws in the Days of King Arthur by Harold Foster."

"As told by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. with Paule Croset and dramatic cast."

"Orchestra conducted by Leo Arnaud."

Inside is a 12 panel Prince Valiant story, signed by Hal Foster.

Aleta is in this story (he married her in 1946.)

This set was a present to me in 1947 from my Dad, who was a huge Prince Valiant fan.  Long after I could read, he insisted on reading Prince Valiant cartoon to me every Sunday.  LP records were new then and really exciting.  On the front, it is marked 3.75 in red pencil and crossed out, with 2.05 under it...very faint.

Condition: The cover has surface damage across the top and along left edge...top layer has flaked away.  All the colored area seems to have escaped damage. Bends on the corners.  Inside looks pretty good with some small tears where you slide the record in.  Records do not seem to be warped or damaged...I don't have a turntable to check them out.

There were only 2 Prince Valiant records ever made...this one in 1947 and one in 1968.
