Up for auction today is a great vinyl LP album.

Album: Caught LIVE + 5

Catalog #: 2 PS 690-1

Caught Live + 5 is a live album by The Moody Blues, consisting of a December 12 1969 live show at the Royal Albert Hall and five previously unreleased studio recordings from 1967 to 1969.

The band's performance was a popular and critical success at the time. In his newspaper review of the event, music critic Jack Scott called the concert a "knockout victory for progressive pop," having a "rich, full sound that combined sensitivity with sheer popular punch."

The recording showcases the band's versatility on different instruments, and their ability to perform complex material from their first four albums in a live setting. "Gypsy (Of a Strange and Distant Time)" is the only representative of the contemporary album To Our Children's Children's Children, likely because their method of heavy overdubbing on their records made much of the songs very difficult to successfully reproduce live.

A note on condition...

I’m not a pro or a record store owner, but I have been collecting for a long time and have done my best to describe the condition.

Condition: 

Record: This album was not play-tested, only visually graded as I am listing over 10,000 albums and cannot do every one. 

I would say EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT as there are no noticeable surface scratches, marks or defects. I do not believe I played this album very much as I listened to alot of cassettes back then.

Jacket: VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT. Light surface scratching from storage. Minimal ring wear on back and/or front. No splits of any kind - extremely minor edgewear.

Sleeve: Generic Clear Plastic Type

All in all, this is a great LP -- described and graded visually -- at a remarkable starting price.

Again, please remember that I am not an expert but I try to grade very fairly.  I visually grade all records. Please keep in mind that some of these records/vinyl are pre-owned and over 30 or 40 years old.  Some may have some slight surface noise and/or a crackle and/or other imperfections and will NOT sound like a “new” record, unless listed as mint/unopened.
