Dear Record-Collectors,
This week, I am offering you a selection of rare Lps from my personal collection. I am not a professional seller, but an avid collector who shares some of his gems from time to time. This is my first auction series this year. Please check my feedback to confirm the quality and service I am proud to provideAll LPs have been thoroughly inspected, including a playcheck on my Thorens 126 MKIII with EMT 929 arm and EMT TSD 15 cartridge for stereo and EMT TMD 25 for mono records .
Most of these records have been washed and put into new inner sleeves. If the original inner sleeves are still available, they will be included
Here I have a major violin rarity:
The 1987 reedition of the complete recordings of the violin Wunderkind Josef Hassid. They were recorded in 1940, mainly in London, before this incredibly gifted young virtuoso fell victim to a mental illness that ended his short career and, quite soon after, also his life.
On side B the young master Ruggiero Ricci plays Paganini, Ysaye and Sarasate virtuoso pieces, recorded 1938. A tremendous bow-show!
one LP-record on UK EMI EH 2912301, mono, second semi circle labels, back sleeve is dated 1987
condition:
Sleeve: ex-, some general wear
Record: the record has several superficial marks that make it look quite used (It comes from the legacy of a professional Italian violinist who cared a lot for the music, but not too much for the vinyl), but it still plays very nicely with some inoffensive ticks. Actually the Hassid side sounds really quite well, given the age of the recordings.
The Ricci side has less marks and plays very nicely with just a few ticks.
Still, although I find the record very enjoyable, I grade it as vg, just to avoid trouble
