Description

Rare Wes Dakus & The Rebels 'The Wes Dakus Album' on Capitol T6120 from 1965. Only released on Capitol Canadian label and the only instrumental album released by this Edmonton, Alberta, Canada guitars, bass, drums band who had many other rock'n'roll instrumental singles on Quality and Capitol Records in Canada. On this album there are 8 band original instros and 4 cover instros. Recorded at Norman Petty studios in New Mexico. The band and lead guitarist Bob Clarke has a sound like The Fireballs whose guitarist George Tomsco wrote 'Honeybun' on this album. Wes Dakus & The Rebels were voted Canada's Top Instrumental Group in 1964. Titles: So Fine/Hobo/Twine Time/Rattlesnake/Rolling Rock/Honeybun//Come On Down/Roulette/20-75/Night Walk/Fried Rice/Do-Wah-Diddy Diddy. Overall condition of vinyl and cover is strong VG++.
