I have been going through A LOT of vinyl. I am listing just this one lp tonight. I am a novice hoarder when it comes to vinyl and just apprciate the sound in my fairly un-audiophile way. The problem with this is that all I can do is examine the lp and sleeve, listen to the album and do my best to describe it. I do not know how to grade them like a dealer. I know condition is everything and they need to be sent well packed. Please ask questions!

This is an auction for an original pressing of the 1978 Stained Glass Stories by the progressive rock band Cathedral // Stereo DELTA DRC 1002 (DRC1002) Produced by Mercury Caronia & Bernard Zimney / Recorded at delta Studios New York / Recording & Mixing by Andy Milano / . The album has MAJOR condition issues and so please bid on this item as though there is only the cover and sleeve and that the lp is totally shot. The cover is overall clean with light signs of wear. There is a scuff that is small at very bottom edge - front left or rear bottom right. Top edge has split that is no longer than 2 inches and seam still feels tight. Original record sleeve has light signs of foxing with one 3 inch closed tear to middle circle - a clean tear. Lyric sheet is present and has hint of sign of foxing. The LP looks bright and shiny BUT there is a major warp at the begining making at least the first half of both sides impossible to play. I did listen to the last song on both sides and sounded fine to me but what's the point? I have read that some lp's can be flattened but I doubt it with something like this. Also I can see a few tiny dimple like flaws but played through a couple and they look like they were done at time of pressing and may not be a big deal. The warp is a BIG deal - I thought maybe it will play but as soon as the needle was on it was like a carnival ride. If this was just about any other album it would have gone right in the trash but it is a rare, sought after lp. I believe it was re-issued so maybe a fan of the band would enjoy having the re-release in the original cover, sleeve? Also -- I have made no attempt to clean the cover or lp and there is a very slight mustiness - not huge and overwhelming but a faint smell of damp. I believe this will go away rather quickly if gently wiped down and left out in the open near air and sunlight for a little bit. This was a recent Thrift store find and based on the other lp's that were with it they most likely sat somewhere together that may have had some dampness but were not disasters at all. I have had the album out for about a week and the smell is half gone so I believe this is not a big deal - it is not saturated with mold or anything. OK - I have done my best to describe it so please ask questions if needed.
