Description
For sale is a rare exotica 78 album set from 1947 by Raymond Scott. The catalog number is Columbia C133.
I normally sell only LPs. For LPs,I grade conservatively on a NM, VG+, VG, VG-, G scale. I don't use EX. (Check my feedback regarding my grading accuracy.)
Each of the four records in this set looks really nice. They are very shiny and have only the occasional very small, non-feelable scratch. I tried to take good photos of each side. One record, which I captured in a photo, has a tiny chip at the edge, but it does not go past the run-in groove. I don't have a way of playing 78s, so I cannot listen to this set. However, if I was visually grading it like an LP, I would grade the records in this set as VG+, out of an abundance of caution. Quite frankly, they look much better than almost any 78s I've looked at, which is quite a few.
The cover is pretty good. It has some shelf wear, which has caused some of the edges to wear. The cover is strong and sturdy, though.
I ship within the US through the USPS and the cost is $10.00 USD, because 78s require a lot more packaging and protection (e.g., cardboard, bubble wrap, individual wrapping).
I ship outside the US only through eBay's Global Shipping Program, and the international shipping cost is calculated through that Program.
