Description

This is a nearly pristine copy of what appears to be the first public release of this rare and wonderful LP, after a small run of promo copies. These tracks were recorded in 1955 by Buddy Holly and his lifelong friend and musical partner Bob Montgomery but never released. Six years after Holly's tragic death in a 1959 plane crash, the recording were rediscovered in the vaults of Coral records and released in this mono version. The cover has some light ring wear near the bottom edge. Except for some faint unevenness in the gloss due to age, the vinyl would be NM.  
The distinguishing marks of this pressing are the "rainbow" labels and the runout code  MG9626T1. You can check it out in the collectors' databases - Cat. no. CRL 57463.
