Sale of four rare vinyl 12" singles 'A Tom MoultonMix ' released as a package on Soul Jazz Records SJR LP 120.
The set forsale contains a total of 16 extended mixes four discs (i.e. 8 sides) of iconicdance tunes, in extended & rare versions by the pioneer of dance music, Tom Moulton. The auction price for this sale starts at £25, about a quarter of the current price of the only copy found on Amazon.
The vinyl condition is very good(VG) according to Record Collector Magazine grading criteria. It comes in the twooriginal covers which are worn & partly torn (see photos), but otherwise inreasonable condition. There are no internal sleeves.

Tom Moulton is one of themost significant dance music producer. He invented the 12" single. Hewanted to keep people on the dance floor longer than the 3 minute norm of early70s singles. His first remix was BT Express' Do It Til You’re Satisfied. Hisnext BT'S Peace Pipe, he ‘extended’ to over 6 minutes long. He'd inventedthe remix. His mix of Gloria Gaynor's NeverCan Say Goodbye was the first continuous mix of an albumside. Further successes with mixes of Dirty Ol' Man by the Three Degrees, Disco Inferno by the Trammps & First Choice'sDoctor Love followed as well as tracksfeatured on this 4 x 4 track 12" single commercially released 12"vinyl set, such as Eddie Kendrick's keepon Truckin' (1973), Patti Jo's Make me believe in you (1975), MFSB's Love Is The Message (1977), Grace Jones's 1977 rendition of Édith Piaf's La Vie En Rose & Andrea True Connection's More MoreMore (1976). His work influenced FrancoisKervorkian, Dimitri from Paris & Danny Krivit whose words in praise of Moulton appear onthe sleeve notes
