Dated 1985 this 33 rpm long play vinyl record album is on the CBS label with a catalog number of AS 2130 with the label printed as VARIOUS ARTISTS... DEMONSTRATION...POP and NOT FOR SALE.The album was issued to promote the CBS "NICE PRICE" album series and was meant for "in store" play.Each side of this album runs about 20 minutes with the announcer saying that we are playing a game called "NICE PRICE PERSUIT",he then plays tracks from CBS NICE PRICE albums and you are to guess the artists.The labels are not printed as side one or two.On one side you will hear JET from the BAND ON THE RUN album by Paul McCartney and Wings along with Chicago,Bob Dylan doing Knocking On Heavens Door,Billy Joel,Janis Joplin ME AND BOBBY MCGEE,Byrds TURN TURN TURN,MAYBE I'M AMAZED by Paul McCartney and a Willie Nelson track.The flip side has James Taylor doing HANDY MAN,Loggins and Messina,Earth Wind and Fire SHINING STAR,Bob Dylan THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN',Simon and Garfunkle CECELIA and LISTEN TO WHAT THE MAN SAYS from the LP VENUS AND MARS among others.The vinyl is near mint and it comes in plain black jacket stamped FOR PROMOTION ONLY.This album is definitely for the "completist" especially a Beatles collector.
