The Riot Rockers 'Wash Machine Boogie' a rare 7 inch single-sided,Acetate/Direct Cut/Demo. 45rpm. 1978 recording.
This high value item, will no doubt interest the serious collector!
This original 1978 recording, and highly valuable, Acetate/Direct Cut/Demo Disc is in excellent NM condition, no scratches and not warped and it plays brilliantly from beginning to end. It has some hand written information on the label, (see image).It comes with a white card sleeve with written information on the front. It has only been played very little, for recording, mix and technical reference.
Acetates, are more rigid than vinyl, they are aluminium plate then covered in vinyl coating.These are not meant for resale or to be played regularly like vinyl pressings, they are just for reference for the cutting & studio engineer, for e.q, sample mastering, distortion, clipping, processing, level, mix & quality, before the vinyl pressings are produced ect: They are cut direct from the master tape onto the disc. Groups & Artistes in the 50's,60's,70's & 80's, used to send these to Record Companies and agents as Demo's.
I can verify that this rare Acetate/Direct Cut/Demo-Disc is a 100% genuine item, because I produced the actual recording of this demo for The Riot Rockers in my own studio, Humberside Recording Studios, Laceby, Grimsby, UK, in 1978, and the studio always acquired copies of everything I recorded & produced for technical & future reference.
