Description
For auction today: Manuf by Sound Works Inc. - Osaka, Japan.
# MN3027.
Possibly this is the only copy in existence of this private pressing of Enka music by president / founder of an oil company in West Japan. I am told his name is Terukazu Kadota or perhaps Teruaki Kadoda. Seems like he recorded this album for a bit of fun/relaxation and pressed it for himself or possibly some for his family and friends, so I estimate either only this copy exists or less than 10 were pressed and some of them exist today. No other copies exist or were sold, by my research on the internet.
My very nice Instagram contact in Japan who helped translate, says this is a very good album that has “searched the roots of Enka”.
Comes in plastic sleeve with white printing on the sleeve, as shown. Includes 4 page booklet which states: "Supported by MacNaught Pty. Ltd. & Zahren International" Macnaught is an Australian company, still operating and based in Turrella NSW, which is about 9 kms from where I live. From their website:
