Description

This auction is for probably the rarest LP of Italian Prog to date, still sealed.
This is the one and only Gasoline made. This band was formed by one of the actual most well known Italian producer of soundtracks for the Italian TV series and movies, Luigi Seviroli, at the guitars.
"Through The Light" was issued in 1980/81 by the indipendent Italian record label Shirak Records, cat. G.S.83024.
In the back of the cover (bottom - centre) there is indication "M.B.M." with the Italian address (Shirak name is on the label only, as everyone who knows about this record is aware of) together with the b/w picture of the band and the track list.
ONLY 500 COPIES EVER WERE MADE OF THIS RECORD (the record label was very small). Despite the innovative effort of the band and due to the lack of distribution, "this record did not sell good and many of the copies were destroyed some years later" as Seviroli himseld declared in an interview.
The copy I'm selling in this auction is in perfect condition: only the shrink wrap is opened in 3/4 in the lower side (I guess it is for the quality of the wrapping itself that could not stand the test of time. Anyway this "opening" is not interesting the side where the record comes out so the vinyl lies still intact inside the cover (it is impossible to take it out without removing the shrink wrap).
I received this record back in time as friend of the band and it is been lying since then in my records collection: now it is time for me to unload some of the goods I have been collecting through the years so here it is.
