ORIGINAL 1977 "WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT" 45 FEATURING THE JACKSONS w/ MICHAEL JACKSON AND ON THE FLIP-SIDE YOU HAVE MARILYN McCOO & BILLY DAVIS. THIS 45 IS HARD TO FIND WHICH MAKES IT EXTREMELY RARE. THE CONDITION IS VG+/VG++, HAS A COUPLE OF SMALL LIGHT SURFACE/SLEEVE MARKS, NOTHING WHICH WILL AFFECT PLAY. THE LABELS ARE AS SHOWN IN PHOTOS. This may be the MOST rare 7" vinyl that has Michael and his brothers featured. It may not be the most popular, but it is likely the most rare. It's not even found on YouTube because so few people own it.
The record is in VG+/VG++ condition. There are A COUPLE of visible LIGHT tiny scratches/surfce marks but they do not not affect play, the vinyl is clean and glossy and the record plays just fine! This did not ever have a picture sleeve, just a standard white sleeve. It was not a big label release.
The A side of this red labeled 45 features The Jacksons (Program 380): "An Interview With The Group, Featuring Their Hit Songs". Jackie, Tito, Marlon, and Michael are interviewed by host Bill Huie.
Jackie talks about how “everyone has chores to do” and the brothers discuss how they performed for the Mayor of Gary Indiana before being discovered by Bobby Taylor. They also talk about recording with Gamble & Huff, and recall how they used to sell pictures of the group for a quarter and were often warned but “don’t get the big head”.
Song excerpts include: Enjoy Yourself, I Want You Back, Never Can Say Goodbye, Dancing Machine.
B side features Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis. Used for Broadcast for the Presbyterian Church.
