Description
Rarest of all the Santana Packages, a 1974 UK Borboletta first press with the original six fold giant Poster & double sided lyric Insert. I checked through all the archives and could find no reference to the poster that is included in the sleeve here, but as you read on you will see why it is the real thing. It is very obviously old paper, and looks completely correct for the vintage to my experienced eye (I trained as a book binder, so know a bit about paper). Those A1B1 stampers in the run out grooves and the cover sticker over the foil finish tell us this is a first off the presses issue from when it came out over here. It is in beautiful low plays condition, and sounded Near Mint without me even cleaning it. The two tiny wispy marks under a bright light did not sound at all, and the poster, labels, and insert show no damage whatsoever. If you collect top shelf rock originals, this is something nobody else has listed in ages if ever. The poor selling lp would have had all the posters as here go on someone's wall back then, never getting returned to the sleeve. Surely this is like finding a Rolling Stones Let it Bleed with the poster in.
