Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original pressing from over 35 years ago...housed in fantastic THICK GATEFOLD adorned with MOTHERS memorabilia styled ZAPPA art ala '60s cover design...
It all started back in spring 1977, when Zappa delivered the 'Zappa in New York' album to Warner Brothers (his record company at the time). It had a song called "Punky's Whips", which was about Terry Bozzio, Zappa's "cute little drummer", and his crush on Punky Meadows, "lead guitar player from a group called Angel". Punky had given Zappa permission to use his name like this on the record, but he wouldn't give permission to Warner Brothers, so Herb Cohen (Zappa's manager at the time) "took it out" - that is, "Punky's Whips" got deleted from the album, along with references to Punky in another song called "Titties & Beer". As a result, Zappa fell out with Warner Brothers over this censorship, and gave them three more albums - Studio Tan, Hot Rats III (later renamed "Sleep Dirt") and Orchestral Favorites - to fulfill his contract so he would be free to go to another label. That other label was Mercury and Zappa recorded material on this album (& more) and tried to deliver it to Mercury/Phonogram, believing he was free to do so because Warners had violated the terms of their contract. Not so, the project was halted ..."Pa's Nose" and the rest of Zappa's planned Mercury Recordings went unreleased until this limited edition gem was released in the underground circuit some 35+ years ago...
