Description
Record grading: It is very subjective but I follow the Goldmine grading system to the best of my ability and I try to grade conservatively. I have never used M- Mint and probably never will, I have yet to see a mint used LP. I very rarely use NM. All records are graded by listening to them and visually. I use a Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable, Pro-ject Tube-Box S2 phono preamp, Denon receiver, and JBL speakers. All used LP's are cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I usually respond fairly quickly.
A good description of a VG+ Record is "except for a couple of minor things, this would be Near Mint."
VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that don't affect the sound are OK. Minor signs of handling are OK, too, such as telltale marks around the center hole, so long as repeated playing has not misshapen the hole. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Light marks and scuffs that don't affect play. Light surface noise between songs-don't notice noise during music.
A Good to VG- cover has ring wear to the point of distraction, has seam splits obvious on sight and may have even heavier writing, such as huge radio station letters written across the front to deter theft. Dinged corners, price sticker top right front, moderate edge wear, ring wear, water stain on bottom, cutout. Inner sleeve wrinkled, 3" split on bottom, cutout.I will combine shipping.
