"Raunch, Inc." (or simply "Raunch") was a band formed in Ossining, NY. They had exactly one 45 issued in 1966 which sank without a trace. Both of those cuts are included here, but one of them is NOT the version issued on the 45.
6 songs are included spread over 3 10 inch 45 RPM acetates:
Secret Agent (Yes, the Johnny Rivers tune) b/w Only The Young
Listen To Me b/w I Say You're Wrong (Alternate performance as to what was released on Bazaar Records, 1966)
and
I Told You So b/w A Little While Back (released on Bazaar Records, 1966)
All three discs were originally in the one Audiodisc sleeve, but I have transferred two of them their own separate sleeves. The "original" sleeve bears the address and phone number of lead singer Sandy Katz.
The acetates are worn but still very playable. They're brittle and thin, (I'm guessing Audiodisc blanks (the original labels are under the White Plains Sound Recording labels), but all 6 sides are fully playable. One side has a few chips on the surface but thankfully they don't touch the music.
The sound samples included are just excerpts, raw from the discs with no clean up or noise removal. With the proper use of digital audio cleanup these will transfer nicely. The discs themselves are dirty and need a good rubdown but I will leave that to the new owner. NOTE: THE SOUND FILES ARE JUST EXCERPTS.....ALL 6 SONGS ARE COMPLETE ON THE DISCS.
