Ravel DAPHNIS ET CHLOE Ernest Ansermet with L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande
London LL-693
1958.
Plays beautifully except for 2 loud pops and some hiss about a minute into the 4th movement. Otherwise only occasional light noise primarily noticeable in the slow movements.
The vinyl is bright with lots of sheen. Some visible wear from sleeve removal.
Jacket is exceptional save for a hint of rubbing at top of back covet.
BTW this is a fantastic recording of the impressionist masterpiece.
Would probably grade:
Vinyl - VG++
Jacket - NM

I am a firm believer that there is no objective grading system for records. That said, I will listen to all of the LPs offered for sale and give you my subjective evaluation of the listening experience.
As for jackets. I will not list any with seam splits unless I think they are extraordinary in terms of rarity. I will not list records with skips or sticks. I will not list records where the noise was so distracting to me that it ruined my listening experience. In fact if that happens, I take the LP off the turntable and put it in the reject stack (ie. the "Take it to the thrift store stack").
I will use some of the grading terms of other sellers in my listings just to try to keep some common ground.
All this said, if you are not happy with the record let me know within about 7 business days. I will be happy to accept return and put it back in my collection. Frankly, I would rather keep most of these. So it's no problem.
Look for more records tomorrow and in the coming weeks.
