“Joi Bangla”

U.S. Apple 45 with Picture Sleeve

Apple 1838 - 1970

“Joi Bangla” was perhaps Apple’s most un-commercial release. The record was really an EP rather than a single, containing four tracks: “Joi Bangla” and “Oh Bhaugowan,” credited to “Ravi Shankar & Chorus” on Side One, and “Raga Mishra-Jhinjhoti,” credited to “Ravi Shankar (Sitar) & Aliakbar Kahn (Sarod) with Alla Rakah (Tabla)” on Side Two. All tracks were Produced by George Harrison. This seems to be the only Apple release that isn’t on You tube.

This auction is for the Apple 45 “Joi Bangla” and “Oh Bhaugowan” backed with “Raga Mishra-Jhinjhoti”. The Record is in Near Mint condition, with clean, unblemished labels and glossy vinyl.. The Picture Sleeve is in Very Good+ condition, with no writing or seam splits, but some wrinkling, and light creases.
