Ray Charles Hallelujah I Love Her So! Atlantic 8006 '62 Red/Purple Mono VG+
1962 Reissue of 1957 "Rock & Roll" 8006 LP.
Cover:VG+.Beautiful, but with some items to note: name written in pen in each corner on back sleeve and a nice tape job on top and bottom spines. Small seam split at top right corner on front, slight paper loss at corner bumps bottom left and right on front sleeve. Overall, having mentioned those items, cover is really nice looking. Solid seams on the title spine and most of the top and bottom. Slight bowing (see photos) due I believe to the glossy, laminated (maybe some weight there)Atlantic early 60s cover style which has been stored with the disc outside the cover (upright)by me.
Disc: Visually:VG. Under bright light, both sides have very evenly distributed light scratches and minor marks, indicating the disc was enjoyed, but with a definite degree of care. This care carries over to the sound... Audio: VG++. Side 1: at the first needledrop the noise level (and subsequently between the other tracks) is a 0.5 out of 10(10 being the worst)before the music starts and throughout until well into the 4th song "Sinner's Prayer" where it escalates to a 2 out of 10 light crackle/ticks with most revolutions for a minute or so and returns for the 5th song "Funny (But I Still Love You)" for about a minute before dying down again for the remainder of the side . Side 2:At the initial needledrop,the noise level is a 1.5 out of 10 and remains so for the rest of the side. A gentle tick here and there,far from intrusive.
