Description

"Mess Around" b/w "Funny (But I Still Love You)" by Ray Charles. This is the record that changed Ray Charles' sound, from Nat Cole/Charles Brown wannabe to "The Genius" of soul. Recorded May 17, 1953 and issued on Atlantic 999. Visual condition is V+ but both sides sound E- with a little distortion at the beginning of "Mess Around." Surprisingly little groove wear or surface noise, mostly just scuffs and some light scratches. Bad label tear on "Mess Around" side plus some writing. Sound explodes through your speakers.
