Description

This is a highly sought-after 1957 mono first issue of Ray Charles’ self-titled debut album (Atlantic 8006). The front cover features the iconic original "rock & roll" vertical branding, and the back cover remains intact with its historical "High Fidelity" technical notes and "157 West 57 Street" address. The vinyl itself features the era-authentic black Atlantic labels with silver lettering, including the "LONG PLAYING" and "UNBREAKABLE" designations. A charming piece of provenance, this copy includes a vintage "Bittner's" record shop sticker on the reverse. This is a definitive collector's item for any fan of early soul and R&B history.
