Description
For sale are three rare pressings of Ray Conniff. First is"Jean," from Taiwan, on the First Record label, #FL-1826. The LP has a few light scuffs and one in particular late on side 1 where there is some medium noise through that section, but most of this record plays with only occasional light static here and there. The jacket is nice, sort of a cellophane feel to it as opposed to traditional shrink wrap, with a small split at the top about an inch into the open side and one small break in the outer sleeve near the middle of the bottom. Still a great looking piece that plays pretty well, on a really obscure label pressing, from what I read online about this label, they typically pressed 500 LPs batches when they did these with US service people in the region being their main customers. Also For sale is an ultra rare pressing of Ray Conniff and the Singers, "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life," on the Iant label #TD-1250 from 1973. I believe this pressing is from Taiwan based on other LP's on this label that I found in online searches, but I am not 100% sure of this. The sleeve is typically of these Asian pressings, a thin filmlike material with the artwork built into the plastic. The artwork is all is decent shape, but there is some creasing and folding near the edges. The vinyl shows scuffs and has some light noise here and there, mostly dead wax noise with some in the softer passages as well at times. Finally is a Holland pressing of Say It With Music, CBS S-62046. The front cover is clean, the back has yellowing near the center and a stamp on the upper left. The vinyl is the nicest of the three, I heard one pop in the dead wax between cuts 1 and 2, otherwise nearly perfect.
