Ray Ellington Quartet - Christmas Cards/ A.B.C. Boogie

(Columbia SCM 5147 UK 7" 1954)

This is a UK original 7" single pressing. The record has purple & gold "Columbia" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The record has 1st press -1N/ -1N matrix stampers.  It comes with its original "Columbia" company paper sleeve. A rare mid 1950's UK 7" single. A great & little known Christmas track.


Vinyl: There are some mild, very mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There is one light 1.5 cm hairline surface rub mark. The sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good minus condition. The labels are in excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in Good condition. There are two tears on one side. There is a 3 cm seam split at one side. 

I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in a few quieter places. There are a couple of mild clicks midway through the A-side. Overall, a very decent audio copy.
