Here's how I got it.
I'm a Record Collector, mainly collecting UK 1960's 45's. A friend-of-a-friend sold me a huge collection of singles earlier in the year, with plenty of good stuff in amongst the usual suspects. There was a fair smattering of decent Northern Soul 45's in there, including this one.
I already have a re-issue of this stunning single, so the Original can go on here for sale...I need plenty of UK 60's 45's much more than this one...my Pretty Things and Tomorrow collections aren't complete yet..you can see where I'm coming from?!
Condition I would describe as VG+. There are a few light scratches, but NOTHING to interfere with play. Light Crackle can be heard only on the intro, and it's VERY light. I'm putting a soundclip on here straight from my Record Deck so you can judge yourself. it plays GREAT. The vinyl has a lovely shine and it's not warped or dished in any way.
THE DOWNSIDE.
Most of the Northern Soul 45's in the boxes have had the Centres removed. Either he was a DJ, or perhaps he just wanted it to look like a US 45? I've no idea, but it's missing.
I repeat, it's NOT a Mint Copy, but it plays 100% fine. If you want a MINT UK Original of this, look elsewhere, if one ever turns up!
Comes in a United Artists Company Sleeve, which has the Cat Number written in pen in the corner, 1111 (57). Don't know what the 57 means!
By the way, before anyone asks..this is a UK ORIGINAL PRESSING from 1965. It's NOT a re-issue, a bootleg or one of those re-hashed psyche singles you get with photocopied labels and no centre.
PS, I won't be ending the auction early. This one will go the distance.
