Ray Russell Quartet - Dragon Hill Vinyl LP CBS Realm Jazz 52663 1969 1st Press.
A CBS Realm Jazz release from 1969. The Ray Russell Quartet, augmented by a horn section on two tracks which includes Lyn Dobson on Tenor sax, who also played with Soft Machine, the Small Faces ( on Ogdens Nutgone Flake), Humble Pie and Nick Drake, and Harry Beckett on Trumpet.
The cover is in good to very good condition. The laminated front has sticker residue and a few creases but the laminate is still intact. The edges and corners have some wear and the back is a little tired. That being said the cover is sound with no rips and because of the lamination the front may well clean up quite a bit if done carefully
The record is in better condition than the cover. It is dusty and I did spot a couple of light scratches on side 2 (non feel able with finger tip). I think a proper clean would do wonders for this record. Visualy I would say it is very good + but with a clean I think it may well sound better. I have not been able to play test it as I am currently between cartridges (broken cantilever)
