Description

Early Reader's Digest Treasure Chest issue, "Everyone's Pops Concert Favorites", 9 discs, stereo, RDS 36-M, in gatefold box.  Grooved heavy vinyl red label discs pressed by RCA.  Stampers are 1s 1s 2s 1s 2s 7s 1s 1s 2s 2s 1s 1s 5s 3s 1s 1s 3s 1s.  Recorded by Decca.  See pics for program details.  Orchestras include the Royal Philharmonic, Orchestra Filarmonica di Roma, Vienna Volksoper Orchestra, and the Beecham Promenade Orchestra.  Conductors include Rene Leibowitz, Oskar Danon, Massimo Freccia and others.

These sets are of the highest quality, every bit as good as the full priced shaded dog Decca/RCA issues, at a fraction of the cost.  These early "Treasure Chest" issues in the gatefold boxes are not easy to find in nice condition.

Discs NM- to NM, little to no spindle wear, just a few harmless superficial scuffs from the cardboard inner sleeves that they came in, which have been replaced, slipcase VG++, booklet included.
