Condition Record is EX (Excellent) Vinyl is near perfect. Very likely unplayed. At most, a few light surface marks on the record, but it should play without any noise or skips. The record sleeve has some wear and tear. This single has the words d.j. Mr. Magic stamped on the cover and both sides of single in black letters as pictured in my listing

I usually listen to the beginning of each side, and in many cases, listen to the whole song itself (not all the time, because it would take too long to do each record). I also use a bright light bulb to assist my visual grading. Some grading will be based on how well the record sounds, while most will be graded on how the vinyl looks (not including labels).
