Description

This milestone project was intended to produce of compendium of all the great singers for four key periods. This, the first and rarest of the four sets, covers up to 1914.

Here are 12 LPs of great singing, with all the most important names in the operatic firmament, chosen by Vivian Liff.

The set comes with a 242 page book, describing the careers of each of those artists, and a review of their singing, by one of the best known operatic critics Michael Scott.

The LPs are virtually mint and still housed in their original sleeves, I believe they have never been played. The book is in Mint condition, also included is a 12 page insert with details of tracks and singers. The box is in excellent condition.

This set has never been available on CD.
