Description
Hard-to-find record by Peggy Seeger (1935-), American folksinger, daughter of Charles Seeger (1886–1979), folklorist and musicologist and Ruth Porter Crawford (1901–1953), the first woman to receive a Guggenheim Fellowship and half sister of folksinger Pete Seeger (1919-2014).
Child of God sung and played by Peggy Seeger (banjo) and Pretty Little Baby sung and played by Peggy Seeger (guitar); Topic recording, United Kingdom, 1958. This recording is a 78 rpm 10 inch disc in a generic sleeve. It has a very strange pattern as seen in image 3. According to a comment on 45worlds: “Last record issued by Topic on the 78rpm medium. Still shellac despite having experimented with using vinyl on TRC 24.” Condition: graded visually not aurally, a few faint scratches and could use some cleaning. Payment by Paypal.
